The Challenge: Not finding a home in the listings

A client approached us looking to buy their dream home. However, the buyer had many boxes that they needed to be checked and no current listings ticked all those boxes.

The Solution: Going beyond the listing and writing to potential sellers.

Since no house from the listing was good enough, we had to go beyond waiting for listings to pop up and actively seek out the right property. We decided to take the buyer for a drive through the neighborhoods where they are interested in buying. We wrote down a number of addresses that they would be interested in buying given the opportunity to walk through the properties.

We then sent a personalized letter to each address stating our intentions to view and potentially purchase if the current owners are open to entertaining the idea of selling.

One of the challenges was that it can take up to a month to get the responses. But we did get several of our letters responded to which helped our client select a house they wanted.
